I AM A (WO)MAN OF MULTITUDES

Outer Banks

Outer Banks, NC was a place that was visually stunning. Though I am loathe to admit, I did not enjoy my trip all that much due to purely external factors not related to location. However, it was the most gorgeous sunset I have ever laid my eyes on. So there's that. I do look forward to travelling again one day under less warm circumstances and to see all the museums and rich history of Croatoan I missed out on.

The first English settlement that mysteriously "disappeared" (we now have all the evidence to show it's not such a mystery but we digress, right? ;D)-- it's filled with an old energy mixed with a modern approach to city-planning. It looks like Gatlinburg, Tennessee if you banned rednecks and everybody had mandatory bedtime at 10pm.

It was full of rustic charm but simutaneously some of the most expensive groceries and food I have ever seen. Many piss poor restaurant choices were made, unfortunately. Due to hasty choices and almost every single restaurant wanting to gimmick itself as authentic seafood. I wish I could say I'm kidding, but I would have walked away a happier woman if I had ate nothing but McDonald's Happy Meals than what was put in front of me for $30 a plate.
